Spiritbox performed their single ‘Soft Spine’ in front of a live headbanging audience.
Lead singer Courtenay took to Twitter to mention that there wasn’t going to be an audience for their performance at first.
“Originally there wasn’t going to be an audience in the room while we played, so thank you to everyone who came to see us play last minute,” said LaPlante in a tweet. “It made the performance so much more fun for us and I really appreciate it.”
She also said that the band chose the song to perform. ‘Soft Spine’ was originally released as a single in September 2024.
2025 has been a big year for Spiritbox. The band received their second Grammy nomination, Courtney LaPlante was mistaken for another metal singer Poppy at The Grammys. LaPlante performed with Megan Thee Stallion at Coachella and Spiritbox have opened for Linkin Park.
Back in May, the band headlined a show in Vancouver at the PNE forum where Victoria’s poor sport joined them as an opening act.
