<iframe class="tumblr_audio_player tumblr_audio_player_132176552072" src="https://gxhxoxsxtxfxm.com/post/132176552072/audio_player_iframe/gxhxoxsxtxfxm/tumblr_nwzz5w443x1qbwu5z?audio_file=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.tumblr.com%2Faudio_file%2Fgxhxoxsxtxfxm%2F132176552072%2Ftumblr_nwzz5w443x1qbwu5z" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true" scrolling="no" width="540" height="169"></iframe><br/><br/><p>Can anyone else relate to this feeling when you, very attentively, start listening to an album or a song in which the artist is somehow trying to convey a message but by means of camouflage and uncanniness and that makes your brain feign ignorance and play deliberately obtuse but at the end of it all you know there is a certain amount of curiosity inside that reminds you of how you, at first, did not quite understand what Dean Blunt was doing either but the blurry lines converged into sharp straight vivid clues and you began to feel this album, song or in this case EP by this man called Ben Zimmerman (not to be confused with Robert) is probably trying to do similar tricks on you, instead by using heartbroken, far-flung and lonely yet eventually pretty interesting compositions the way some of your favourite Bowies were and the way some darker Scott Walker moments were and then you see that the man has described himself as “<i>a confused bi-product of a misinformed culture</i>” while having released his latest work via Exo Tapes a week ago which draws a certain amount of contrast to the way he started making music using Tandy DeskMate back in the ‘90s but having previously loved the works of the label, it all starts to make sense and you decide to post the self-titled opening song of the EP on your blog and keep listening to it a dozen more times until it wears your ears out but you do not feel exhausted because the song has brought you a strange form of Harmony-Korine-esque<b> </b>comfort and you may come back to it soon and talk about it with your friends? <a href="https://exotapes.com/post/131760806976/ben-zimmerman-heartbreak-c20-edition-of-45" target="_blank">Giddy up</a>! <br/></p>
