One of our favorite albums of 2016, This Is Where I Live was William Bell's triumphant return to Stax Records and his first major release in almost four decades. Released on June 3rd, 2016, This Is Where I Live was produced by John Leventhal, who co-wrote this week's poignant top tune with Rosanne Cash.

The album is nominated for two 2017 GRAMMY Awards (Feb 12th) - Best Traditional R&B Performance & Best Americana Album. Bell was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award for Songwriting at the 15th Annual Americana Honors & Awards Show, and last month he was inducted into the Memphis Music Hall of Fame.

William Bell signed to Stax in 1961 and delivered one of the iconic soul label's earliest hits with "You Don't Miss Your Water." He also co-wrote, with Booker T. Jones, the classic "Born Under A Bad Sign" for Albert King, which was later famously covered by Cream, Jimi Hendrix and many others.

Coming soon to a city near you, don't miss the amazing William Bell!

"A Memphis Legend is Back" - The New York Times
"It's resonant, wise, and considered music, the kind of direct songwriting that helped Bell make his name" - Vice Noisey
"Still in excellent form...the most personal work Bell has ever created." - Chicago Tribune
