Multi-platinum selling artist Toad the Wet Sprocket returned to the studio in 2010 after an eleven year hiatus to record our own Sam Phillips' poignant holiday gem "It Doesn't Feel Like Christmas". The Santa Barbara-based band, known for its intellectual lyrics had its name taken from a Monty Python skit. They were signed to Columbia Records and enjoyed a huge string of hits in the 90s including "Walk on the Ocean", "All I Want", "Fall Down" and many more.

This week's tune was included on Paste Magazine's 2011 Christmas sampler along with the likes of Deer Tick, Fitz & the Tantrums, She & Him, The Polyphonic Spree, and Nicole Atkins. You can check out Sam's original version and video HERE.
