This day in 1978, Cy Coleman, Betty Comden, Adolph Green‘s multi-Tony Award winning musical On The Twentieth Century opened on Broadway at the St. James Theatre! Considered the last great production of the golden era of Broadway musicals, the show was based on the classic 1934 Howard Hawks comedic film Twentieth Century and set to a lush Rossini-like operatic score. You can board for a ride March 9 – April 30th courtesy of the Cygnet Theatre Company, San Diego. Don’t miss the train! Click HERE for more information and tickets.
