Audio: Listen to this article. As many in this community know, I'm a huge fan of Japanese jazz, vintage Three Blind Mice releases from the 1970s, and Tsuyoshi Yamamoto. When EvoSound released a new Tsuyoshi Yamamoto Trio album titled A Shade of Blue, I said it was "easily my favorite piece of music from 2023." It's now time to share the listening enjoyment by intorducing this recording to everyone in person. I'm hosting a stereo listening session at AXPONA on Saturday, April 13th at 3:00 PM, with EvoSound and Linkwitz Audio. I'll play a few of my favorite Yamamoto tracks, from long out of print releases, and I'll discuss the new album A Shade of Blue. I can't wait to go over the Shade of Blue tracks, show listeners exactly what I heard and raved about, and have a conversation about music that brings us so much joy.
