Now, I don’t know about you, but the two Kittie singles we’ve already heard “Eyes Wide Open” and “We Are Shadows” really wowed me. I’ll admit originally writing Kittie off when I was young because I was a stupid kid, but thankfully with age I’ve come to appreciate what they’re doing. And it’s with that newfound maturity that I now hope to catch the band live on their newly announced run of North American dates.
Set to kick off on July 12 in Toronto, Ontario until August 23 in Chicago, the set of five dates will see the quartet taking the stage with a number of supporting artists, including Vile Creature, Unearth, VCTMS, and Conquer Divide, among others.
Speaking of the aforementioned dates, the band said they were stoked about the opportunity to play for fans at each show.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be headlining a handful of exclusive shows this summer in support of our forthcoming album. Expect a celebration of new and old material alike, spanning our 25 year career thus far. We are looking forward to playing some set list staples and bringing back some songs that we haven’t played live in decades! Although limited, look for more shows to be announced at a later date. We’ve missed you and we can’t wait to see you again!”
This Saturday, Kittie will hit the stage as part of Sick New World out in Las Vegas, along with other major acts like Slipknot, System of a Down, and and Sleep Token.
Tickets for the band’s short run of headlining shows will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. local time this Friday, April 26, with pre-sales starting tomorrow at the same time. You can find the full list of dates below.
