Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Chasing Yesterday: track-by-track guide

Published: March 04, 2015

Chasing Yesterday is an apt title for the second record by former Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher's solo project, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. Why? Because it sounds a lot like Oasis. While Noel's brother, Liam Gallagher, was the voice, Noel was the master craftsman behind Oasis in the band's heyday, so it's no surprise that in turning his talents to another project, that same signature sound crept in. In fact, it's more than welcome.

Chasing Yesterday opens up with "Riverman" with its jangly guitars and drum fills sounding like a hidden track from the "Wonderwall" single.

Watch as Noel takes us through the origin and execution of each song via video, for what could be his best album to date.
