Published: March 04, 2015

Canadian music superstar Shania Twain has announced her first tour in over a decade, and she also plans to make it her last.

The country-pop diva made the announcement this morning on Good Morning America.

The 48-date tour kicks off in Seattle on June 5, and then heads for 13 dates in Canada, among them Vancouver, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, London, Hamilton, Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa.

"I'm finally, after 11 years, I'm going back on tour," said the star, whose megahits include "Man! I Feel Like a Woman," "Ain't No Way" and "You're Still The One," on Good Morning America.

"It's the after-party tour. That's how I see it," Twain said. "It's the after-party to all of these years."

Twain hasn't released an album since 2002's Up!, but has been performing, wrapping up a residency in Las Vegas in December. A CD/DVD version of the production, Still the One: Live From Vegas, was released this week.

The five-time Grammy winner is one of the most successful country-pop acts of all time. Her 1997 album "Come On Over" remains one of the bestselling albums ever by a woman, and one of the bestselling country albums ever.

"This is a very, very important time on the road for me," Twain said. "I just feel like I'm ready to hang my hat up in that regard. I just really want to go out with a bang."
