Atlantic Airwaves Presents: Mo Kenney, Dylan Guthro and Carleton Stone

What happens when three of the East Coast's young up-and-coming singer-songwriters collaborate onstage? You have a trio that gives a glimpse into the future strengths of that genre. Nova Scotia's Mo Kenney, Dylan Guthro and Carleton Stone are all good friends, and share a love of great music-making. The three 20-somethings came together for this CBC Atlantic Airwaves performance, marking the first time they've performed together and it probably won't be the last.

Kenney, Guthro and Stone have strong, independent solo careers, but onstage they shared the spotlight, singing and playing on each other's material and having fun with harmonies and guitar solos. They also created brand new songs together that showcase their individual vocals and strength as an ensemble, blending their harmonies effortlessly.

This concert was one of a three-part series, called Atlantic Airwaves Presents.... Acadian hip-hop group Radio Radio performed with the 20-voice women's choir Xara Choral Theatre for another part of the series, which you can watch here, and the raspy-voiced balladeer Ben Caplan rounded out the shows, partnering up with an amazing horn section and full band to present music based in his klezmer/Baltic roots.
