Shai Brides – “Little Things”

Published: April 18, 2024

London-based act Shai Brides compel with dynamic pop allure on new single “Little Things,” spanning from bass-fronted suaveness into glistening bursts of harmonious effervescence. A multitude of replay-inducing sequences are apparent, seamlessly incorporating the dual vocals of Thom Dent and Meghan Avery within an array of buzzing guitars and twinkling synths alike; its “don’t sweat the little things,” hook lingers with affirming infection, ending the production with a satiating reminder to prevail beyond existentialist anxiety.

The initial vocal peppiness ventures into a range of buzz-y, playful guitars as Avery’s dreamy vocals enter cohesively. Bubbly synth tones build into the bass-fronted verses, propelled there by Dent, and escalates beautifully into another fantastic hook; the “don’t doubt my devotion,” renders a more rock-friendly vigor, converging into a fantastic chorus with both vocalists dazzling again. “Little Things” is an alluring standout single from Shai Brides, furthering the success of previous singles “Gatling Gun” and “Don’t Matter.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
