Saba and No ID Continue 'From the Private Collection of Saba and No ID' Rollout with "head.rap"

Published: April 25, 2024

After dropping off "Back In Office" and "hue_man nature" in 2023, Saba and No ID are back with their first song in almost a year. The dynamic duo has unveiled "head.rap" in collaboration with Jordan Ward, Ogi and Madison McFerrin, marking the third suspected offering from the highly anticipated  From the Private Collection of Saba and No ID.

On the bouncy new offering, the Pivot Gang leader honors his Blackness through the lens of hair. "Visits to county, we all fine / Seen my homie cut his dreads this time / I was growin' my hair, but I never considered tryin' / Lockin' it up, you know turn a root to Devine," Saba enters on the first verse.

“From the moment I get up outta bed, must protect what comes from my head / I don’t care what nobody said, keep growing your garden," Ogi delivers on the chorus.

The cut marks the third offering from Saba and No ID in the past year, all of which are presumed to appear on the imminent From the Private Collection of Saba and No ID.

"Scrapped the first version of the project (sorry), I know what I wanna say now," Saba shared in an Instagram caption. "I’ve been seeing all my heroes become human and that make this shit easy. EASY. First offering drops in a couple weeks. watch what happens when we show up as who we are. (crown)."

Stream "head.rap" out everywhere now – and keep an eye out for the music video, which Saba directed himself, dropping soon.
