Nicki Minaj was full of surprises at this year’s iHeartRadio Music Festival. After performing certified chart hits like Super Bass, she segued into her fiery verse in Beyonce‘s ***Flawless remix only to run into technical difficulties, as her backing music cut off and then on again. iHeartRadio, do we have a problem? she said, before she took matters into her own hands by performing her verse a cappella.
Later, Minaj pulled off a stunt that she actually planned for the music festival. When Jessie J‘s Bang Bang started playing, Ariana Grande joined her on stage to sing those high notes and dance during Minaj’s own assertive verses. Unlike their MTV Video Music Awards performance, where Minaj suffered a wardrobe malfunction, this live rendition of Bang Bang couldn’t gone smoother.
