Ready for it or not, Taylor Swift has just announced her first tour in two years. The pop star dropped her highly anticipated sixth studio album Reputation on Friday and is already following it up with a tour announcement.
The 27-date tour will kick off on May 8 in Arizona and include one Canadian date in Toronto on August 4 at the Rogers Centre. The North American leg of the tour will conclude on October 6 in Texas, with Swift’s website promising additional tour dates for the U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand still to come.
Tickets for the stadium tour will go on sale on Swift’s 28th birthday on December 13, with fans able to increase their chances at scoring tickets by joining Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan Initiative now through November 28 by purchasing Swift’s new album and merchandise.
No word on whether the upcoming Reputation Tour will feature celeb cameos on stage in every city like Swift’s 1989 Tour, but considering the outpouring of famous support for Reputation, we could definitely see it happening.
In addition to the tour announcement, Swift also released the second instalment of her Making of a Song special on DirectTV. In the new video, Swift is in the studio with producer Jack Antonoff as the two record “Call It What You Want,” a love ballad Swift performed during her appearance this past weekend as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live. It looks like the singer was seriously about having boyfriend Joe Alwyn’s initials on a chain ‘round her neck (chain ‘round her neck).
