London music duo Eli & Fur present a brand new audiovisual recording, “Insomnia,” kickstarting a refreshed musical journey piloted by the esteemed indie-electronic outfit. Now streaming via [PIAS] Électronique, the “Pegasus” co-producers’ latest dazzles and inspires, marked by a tastefully repetitive vocal chop, its crisp and entrancing vocal topline, and the melodically addictive stutter effects that cut through each drop section. In an Instagram post announcing the track release, Eli & Fur expressed,
“‘Insomnia’ is the start of a new journey for us, a body of work that we have been creating for the last two years…This song is about escape and the secrets that keep you up at night.”
Evidently, a sophomore album from the Found In The Wild co-creators may not be too far off the horizon. “Insomnia” arrives alongside its paired visual component shortly after the release of “Halo,” Eli & Fur’s first collaborative single of 2024 on NYX Music, which may or may not be apart of the act’s apparent “new journey.” Regardless, “Insomnia” will surely go down as one of Eli & Fur’s flagship solo records.
