Prince has deleted his Facebook and Twitter accounts and removed all but one video, an interview and a behind-the-scenes featurette from his YouTube channel.
Why? Your guess is as good as ours. But considering his Facebook account hosted one Q&A in which he answered one question and his Twitter was last used to tease a Toronto show that never happened, it's not exactly the internet's biggest loss. It's possible he's returned to his original stance that "the Internet's completely over," but surprisingly his albums are still up on Rdio.
One thing is for certain: While Ariel Pink and Mark Kozelek are fighting over the title of music's biggest troll, Prince is quietly beating them all without saying anything sexist or homophobic. It probably helps, of course, that he's not saying much at all.
