Ed. Note: Did you know Tame Impala had been nominated for a Grammy? Who am I kidding? Of course you did. If the Daily News knew, you certainly did. I guess I’m just not the kind of kitten that goes chasing the Aussie ribbon down the rabbit hole and back out a Monolith-beating chimp which is a bit of a shame because I’d love to know what a “psychedelic predator” (Mr. Parker’s words, 11.6.14) could/would do with my hair-brained, half-man scheme for successful living. Maybe one day…
Point is, these crazy kids are the real legitimate shindig that broke the good Kap’n’s brain way back when and have rallied all the wiser froth in the office to shout “BEST! BEST! TESTAMENT!” whenever their name is uttered so, OF COURSE, El Jefe made his grave to see them burn the barn that was L.A. recently and from the hot-heeled glaze in his eyes on returning, I could tell I missed the massive in so many ways I can barely breathe from the weight of epic’s fleeting but, at least, the man provided eloquent evidence as always.
