Maya Bon of Babehoven, Andy Molholt of Speedy Ortiz and Raquel Denis have organized a new benefit compilation called Musicians for a Free Palestine, which aims to "unite musicians together to advocate for a Free Palestine." Purchases of the compilation will go to supply eSim cards to Gazans, providing cell service "in a time that is critical and dire."
"We aim to take a stand against the genocide in Gaza. We believe Palestine will be free and we are committed to using our voices and platform to uplift this future," the compilation organizers wrote in a statement.
Largely comprising unreleased songs, Musicians for a Free Palestine features 71 artists including Mannequin Pussy, Babehoven, Horse Jumper of Love, Frankie Cosmos, Deerhoof, Squirrel Flower, Ted Leo, Slow Pulp and more. It's available now via Bandcamp.
