Just got this from the postman today.
It was built and delivered before estimated date by the company, so big thumbs up to Maruszczyk!
And it's very nice. I adjusted the truss rod for some relief, raised the action a bit and that was it!
So I also had to raise the pickup height to compensate, but now I need to put foam under them so they don't flop around.
The glossy back of the neck feels very nice and luxury-like. I definitely prefer it over satin (which turns into a semi-gloss after a few weeks anyway)
The neck attachment looks really nice too compared to a regular j-bass block.
Fretwork is nice and I have no excessive fretbuzz, actually almost none! I have some weird buzz on the open B-string (not audiable when fretted) so I'll investigate what that I can all about.
The weight is fairly heavy but I guess it's expected from a 5-string bass maybe?
All in all I like it very much. Noticable improvement over my old Ibanez bass, which despite high action had a lot of fret buzz.
I will now re-record the bass on one of my upcoming albums with this one :yesway:
