Pedro Pascal doesn't shy away from fashion risks but stylistically going all-out every day single day is simply not feasible. Sometimes, you just want to be a regular dude, drinking your Poppi soda and eating sweet treats.
But even when Pascal dresses down, he still manages to go all-out in his extremely appealing normal hotness. This is, likely, why we adore him so. How does he do it?
Easy. In early May, while filming new movie Materialists with Dakota Johnson, Pedro wore a uniform: plain shirt, plain jeans, and Rich Paul's New Balance 550 sneakers, a slightly more IYKYK version of the wildly popular ALD NB 550 shoes that have become the normal dad sneaker of our time.
Pascal wore the same thing several days in a row, swapping out the shirt for a graphic tees —including one Coca-Cola number — demonstrating the appeal of having a simple, versatile uniform grounded in an easy no-brainer sneaker.
This fits Pascal's wardrobe inclinations. He's not partial to designer sneakers, for what it’s worth, though the Last of Us actor does love his dad shoes, like when he was seen wearing beat-up New Balances late last year and Margiela GAT-style low-tops a few months prior.
With a little canvas tote over his shoulder and a Poppi soda in his hand, Pascal looked like a handsome Every Man, even in his unawareness that wearing a Coke shirt with a Poppi sip is sort of like mixing adidas track pants with a pair of Nike shoes.
Then again, an Any Man could not make this plain-Jane outfit look nearly as slick as Pedro Pascal so effortlessly did, what with his handsome dark sunglasses lending an air of unbothered cool.
Pascal donned his relaxed look between filming takes with co-stars Johnson and Chris Evans, demonstrating the appeal of going back to beautiful basic.
This is as perfectly plain as Pedro Pascal ever really is, you know. And it is plain. But also perfect.
Given that the film is shooting in New York, expect more Pedro Pascal Everyman pics to come out in the lead-up to the long, hot Pascal summer.
