For an upcoming benefit compilation, the HIV/AIDS awareness organization Red Hot has commissioned artists from across the spectrum to cover cult icon Arthur Russell.Following covers by Robyn, Hot Chip, and Sufjan Stevens, today Red Hot has shared the opening track, by Jos Gonzlez. He covered "This Is How We Walk on the Moon", which appeared on 1994's posthumousAnother Thought. Listen below viaT magazine.
In the liner notes, Gonzlez elaborated on his contribution (viaT): "It was one of those songs that Id heard but didnt pay that much attention to before, but once I started listening with the cover in mind it really grew on me. I began to hear the potential in the simplicity."
