Rihanna and her fans love to put on this little charade where we ask about when we’re getting new music, and she pretends like it’s coming. It’s been happening since the release of her last album, 2016’s Anti, and now, at the launch of her new Fenty Beauty Soft’lit Foundation in Los Angeles, that ruse continued. When asked by Extra’s Terri Seymour about this supposed “new music,” Rihanna assured fans, “It’s gonna be amazing. It has to be — that is the only reason it’s not out yet. If I’m not feeling it and I am not feeling like it represents the evolution and the time I spent away, there should be a show of growth… I want to play with it and have fun with it and show truly where I am at.” More likely than not, the superstar and Bravoholic is talking about the music she’s set to record for the upcoming Smurfs movie, in which she will also be voicing the role of Smurfette. But perhaps the real question we should be asking if Fenty is planning on releasing a Smurfs-themed blue eye shadow palette?
