Tracks of the Week: Let’s Jiggle Some Buttcheeks

Published: August 17, 2017

There’s a secret video here with a lot of booty bumpin’ & slappin’ around here somewhere. Jiggle your buttcheeks to our tracks of the week.

1. BØRNS – “Faded Heart”:

First, his Gucci suit is amazing. Second of all, I’m proud of BØRNS for sending his ex straight to voicemail when they called from an “UNKNOWN” number. I see you.

2. Hundred Waters – “Fingers”:

This creepy, insect-filled video premiered at Sundance NEXT FEST this year. I’m just going to close my eyes and enjoy Nicole from Hundred Water’s soothing voice.

3. Grizzly Bear– “Mourning Sound”:

You found it. Grizzly Bear’s video is filled with grown-man booty slappin’ and shakin’. If you blink you just might miss it, which might be tragic.

4. LCD Soundsystem– “tonite”:

Boop. Boop. Beep. Boop. Cry. Cry. Cry.

5. Wolf Alice– “Don’t Delete The Kisses”:

To live and die on the subway. Memories are created and destroyed by a stranger’s B.O. and people entering your *personal* space. Wolf Alice’s track makes me want to go to Europe to ride the Eurail.

6. Kelela– “LMK”:

Kelela is bringing back the 90s with this futuristic R&B feel. Throoowback.

7. 1991– “VHS”:

1991 is so good. I am digging this song because it makes me feel like I’m raving on one of Jupiter’s rings.

8. SADAF– “Thingy”:

How should I classify this? I can’t. Is this something I would see at an art installation at Hauser & Worth? This whole EP intrigues me.

9. Peach Pit– “Seventeen”:

This reminds me of every indie show I went to in SF. I love the ending.
