Post-hardcore goth-punk guys AFI are dropping a big hint that new music is on the way. Today (April 16), the band released a theatrical video clip, ending with the clue, September 2013. While the band didnt release an official statement saying whether the date signifies the release date for a new album or single, it’s a sign something musical is imminent.
The video begins with lead singer Davey Havok dressed in black, eerily walking down a lonesome, black-and-white hallway, in slow motion. Haunting poetry is recited during Havoks walk, and finally, the video wraps with Havok opening a door and meeting up with the rest of the members of AFI. Suddenly, all of them jump into what seems like its going to be a live performance, and thats when the video wraps with the words A Fire Inside and September 2013. Watch the video below.
AFI took to Twitter tonight to send the video out to the world, simply tweeting a link to their official website, which currently features the video on the front page. It was the band’s first tweet since February of 2012.
