Furious Belgian hardcore act Seventh Circle have recently announced a UK tour with the mighty Let It Die, calling at Nottingham, Peterborough, Bristol and London next week.
Something bleak is going on Belgium right now. That’s the only way to explain the startling amount of great hardcore the country is producing at the moment, and Seventh Circle may just be one of the most vicious prospects to emerge so far. Sure, combining the Holy Terror sound with that HM2 tone is hardly the most original idea in the book, but when you sound as resolutely pissed off as Seventh Circle, it’s hard to argue with the results. The band’s self-titled debut EP improves on their 2013 demo by a frightening degree, blending huge, circle pit instigating chunk riffs with ferocious blasts of tremolo abuse and sounding remarkably assured for such a young band. Let It Die are the perfect choice of support, being one of the UK’s finest hardcore acts themselves. After following up their 2011 demo with an absolutely incendiary self-titled 7″, the band also put out a split with Monolithian last year that saw them somehow get even heavier. With a grinding intensity that recalls Nails in full swing and some stonking great riffs that Entombed A.D. wish they could have written, these guys are evidently onto something very special indeed. The three piece are something else in the live arena too, so come on down and get pulverised!
