Progressive doom monoliths Ohhms have joined forces with Terrorizer for an exclusive premiere of their new song ‘Bad Seeds’, a hulking great 18 minute monster that makes up one half of their forthcoming album ‘Bloom’.
Fusing together elements of doom, post-metal, prog and psychedelia, the band’s depth of vision is certainly impressive, and the vast, sweeping strains of ‘Bad Seeds’ are rendered in stunning clarity and power thanks to Ian Sadler at Emeline Studios and Brad Boatright at Audiosiege mastering. Ohhm’s sound is incredibly nuanced for such a young band, knowing exactly when to ease off on the volume front and lull the listener into a trance with their hypnotic grandeur, and when to let those big, stonking riffs come crashing down like a sumo wrestler tumbling off a step ladder.
But enough waffle, check out ‘Bad Seeds’ below and see for yourself…
‘Bloom’ is due to be released on October 6th via Holy Roar Records and is available to pre-order here
