Vengeance of Eternal Fire (Profound Lore Records)
Sporting an impressively huge and fiendishly dark sound, Richmond, Virginia’s Antichrist Siege Machine are back with their third full-length album with Vengeance of Eternal Fire. This package of 10 new hard-hitting tracks is brutal with a capital ‘B’.
Cometh The Storm (MNRK Heavy)
Do I really have to explain why this should be on your radar?? Really?? This is High On Fire we’re talking about here — I’ve already gushed about their singles and our review already sung this album’s praises. Just stop reading this and listen to the damn thing!
Tarantula Heart (Ipecac Recordings)
Melvins doing Melvins things, only this time with two drummers and another guitarist in the mix. Oh and it’s not exactly your typical Melvins record, so maybe it’s not as cut and dry as I just said it was. This is the Melvins being experimental with their sound and as a result, it’s a hell of a ride if that’s your sort of thing.
A Mortal Binding (Nuclear Blast)
Who’s ready to feel sad? If that’s you, then A Mortal Binding from major gothic/doom metal act My Dying Bride is for you. With this being their follow up to 2019’s The Ghost of Orion, this new offering is a booming, solemn, almost melancholic offering that wades through despair with aplomb.
Coup de Grâce (Pure Noise Records)
This latest offering from post-hardcore/sasscore outfit SeeYouSpaceCowboy is dropping today as they’re currently on the road with Better Lovers, Foreign Hands, and Greyhaven. Set in a neo-noir world, this album has a story to tell as it overflows with drama and discontent thanks to the formidable as hell performances found within.
