In a month’s time, Arizona-based death metal act Gatecreeper will release their third full-length album Dark Superstition. With only a few weeks left before the world gets hit in the face with 10 new tracks from the band, they’ve released another one into the wild, this time releasing “Masterpiece of Chaos” unto the world.
As you’ll hear in the clip below, “Masterpiece of Chaos” is simply a slow and brutal hammer to the dome. Speaking of the new single, vocalist Chase Mason said the story behind the track deals with an ethereal, terrifying mirror creature and my psyche don’t like it.
“’Masterpiece Of Chaos’ is a nightmarish vision of a broken mirror with an ominous creature that lives within the fragmented web of glass. It sonically contrasts and compliments the more melodic approach we took to some of the other songs.”
