Remember when Baroness released their latest album STONE a few months ago? If you don’t, then you should because it was excellent. If you’ve somehow already forgotten that fact, or you just haven’t caught those songs in a live setting yet, then you’re in luck because they just announced a U.S. tour starting up in just a few weeks.
Set to kick off on May 31 in Portland, Maine and coming to an end on June 30 in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, this latest run of dates not only gets the band back to parts of the country they might have missed during their previous run, but it’s also being used as a warm up for their upcoming European trek.
“We are gearing up for our first big summer tour in the U.S. in five years, and we’re incredibly exciting to be playing so many cities that we have never played before, and returning to so many that we haven’t spent nearly enough time visiting. Come out and join us! Till the wheels fall off…”
As always, we’re sure they’re going to have an insanely awesome tour that you won’t want to miss. As long as they avoid some of the pitfalls that befell them on their worst show ever, they’ll be perfectly fine.
In addition to general tickets, the band’s also going to have a pre-show experience on offer, where attendees get a ticket to the show, a three-song acoustic performance, an exclusive art print, a Baroness slipmat, commemorative VIP laminate, the chance to have two items signed, and early access to the venue.
Tickets for the tour will go on sale this Friday, April 26 at 10 a.m. local time.
