TyShawn says the following of the song:
“I was in a relationship with my ex girlfriend for 5 and-a-half years (from 8th grade to freshman year of college) and got caught up talking to some psycho IG model from Cali. She snitched on me because I told her I didn’t love her and before I knew it I had to confess to my ex that I had been speaking inappropriately to another female because she had already been contacted by the psycho. She freaked out, we still messed around for a bit before officially cutting it off last year and I wrote a song capturing the emotions I felt following the break-up (most of the song is accurate).”
