Chicago rapper Chief Keef is going through some emotions right about now. The hip-hop artist has come forward to speak on the shocking death of his cousin Fredo Santana.

Keef went to social media Saturday (January 20) to address Santana’s unexpected passing.

Early Saturday, reports developed about Santana dying at the age of 27.

Chicago drill rapper Fredo Santana, the older cousin of Chief Keef, has reportedly died at age 27. Several of Santana’s fellow rappers and friends — including Canadian rapper Drake, Chicago artist Lil Durk, record producer Maxo Kream and California rapper Lil B — took to social media early Saturday to announce the news and mourn his death. The hip-hop artist has worked with a slew of artists ranging from Drake to Migos.

Fredo was born in Chicago and released his first mixtape, It’s A Scary Site, in September 2012 while his debut album, Trappin Ain’t Dead, was released in October 2013. The star had collaborated with huge names in music including Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Soulja Boy and Migos. (Mirror UK)

Last year, Fredo announced medical complications and health problems related to his kidney.
