Audio interview on http://www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/musicshow/brian-campeau/6575248 Canadian born Brian Campeau’s musical contribution to the Australian music scene is rich and eclectic to say the least. The singer songwriter musician is also a producer, arranger and a composer for film and TV. He has performed in a number of musical guises, often at the same time, including the Green Mohair Suits (a bluegrass garage band), with Elana Stone in their duo The Rescue Ships, the rock band Jimmy Swouse and the Angry Darts, The Elana Stone Band and Manger, a semi rock-folk band.

He’s been celebrated for his powerful voice, unique instrumentation, unusual arrangements and organic, left field production. Campeau has released four albums under his own name including 2009’s “Mostly Winter Sometimes Spring” (Inertia, 2009).

In 2013 Brian also arranged most of the music for the Australian release of Beck’s album Song Reader. That album was released in sheet-music form only – fans were encouraged to interpret, rearrange and reinvent each track as they felt fit.

Brian’s latest album is “Don’t Overthink it, Overthink, Overthinking” (Art as Catharsis, 2015). In his words, "this album sounds like a meeting between Bjork and Nick Drake, or like Cass McCombs getting depressed and calling Air for consolation."
