A lot has happened (or hasn't happened) in the last year what with the world beckoning many of us away from the band. But things have settled down again and Cuthbert is busy recording album number 3. It will be out some time in the middle of the year. There will be gigs too in 2011, don't worry about that. Some might be in venues and some might be in central station tunnel but all will have FEELING. If you would like us to play please let us know via our favourite booking agent Mr. Jeremy Sharp who's details are somewhere on this page.
There will be a bit of new music up here very soon.
See you all sometime this year x

Our latest gig review (although it was some time ago): The Gaelic Theatre 03/01/10.
"If Mumford & Sons got married to the Polyphonic Spree, the children’s entertainment at the wedding would sound and look a bit like Cuthbert & The Night Walkers. When the bar is ten deep and it’s a balmy 28 degrees outside you hardly need warming up, but the Sydney seven-piece more than surpassed their role as support, taking the crowd on a magical mystery tour into their euphoria tinged genre-hopping soundscape. The lead vocals are warmly alt-folk, the female backing brings a more playful kitsch element, the shouting and clapping are pure indie fun and the melodies are expertly pop-crafted." – Drum

"‘Mr Pickwick’s Camera’ is a remarkable album, one which I couldn’t compare to anything else. It was difficult to find any gripes about the music, and I have no qualms about giving ‘Mr Pickwick’s Camera’ two thumbs up!"
Scene Magazine
“One of the key players of the indie-pop movement currently barrelling us over with happy brass blasts and sunshine-in-song is Sydney six-piece Cuthbert & The Nightwalkers.” – Rave Magazine
“Pace Ourselves, the group's new single, is all about hitting the 'night scene', getting completely Stereogummed off your chops and having the best/worst night of your life.” – Polaroids of Androids
"I've steadily fallen in love with them. From dress-up costumes to epic but equally nonsensical songs, they represent all that is right about the music scene on the other side of the world. Their outfit reflects the heady hay-days of the Polyphonic Spree, but whizkid Richie Cuthbert's songwriting holds the band together and avoids any sticky situations and let-downs that may be recalled of their predecessors." - DrunkenWerewolf UK Issue 9.
“This is what the Polyphonic Spree would sound like if they loved Augie March more than the Flaming Lips” Simon Wooldridge – ROLLING STONE
“The sweetest band in town.” Dan Zilber FBi/Sydney Morning Herald
“Cuthbert and the Night Walkers capped off a superb night of music filled with smiles, hugs and warm moments; I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the start of Spring.” Fasterlouder.com
"Cuthbert & The Night Walkers make swooning, boy-girl indie pop with a show-tune heart." Inpress
