Tim McMillan

Tim McMillan has been performing his unique style of acoustic guitar based music for over a decade. Regularly touring, he has played concerts both solo and with his band throughout Australia, Japan, India, Latin America and Europe - where he is currently based.
In the past year he has performed alongside guitar legends Al Di Meola, Dominic Miller (Sting) and Kaki King, and has just recently received an endorsement from Cole Clark Guitars and an artist in residence scholarship from the city of Dachau.
With previous awards for his solo guitar work, including Maton Young Guitarist of the Year and C.C & Ben Harper Guitar Awards, he now mixes his virtuosic playing with a more subdued approach to his performance and a stronger focus on songs and instrumental pieces for the band.
The many influences in both Tim's music and his performance style makes the group very accessible for a wide audience - performing at venues as diverse as Dresden's Dreikönigs Church, Black Metal bonanzas in Northern Europe, the National Folk Festival in Australia and even the Tibetan Women's Association in Northern India, Tim & co are becoming quite used to entertaining all kinds of audiences with their shows - filled with amusing anecdotes from the bush, athletic guitar stunts and ethereal concept folk.
His latest studio album Angel features special guest
musicians and collaborators including singer/songwriters Francesca Lago and Shisha PM, and Chapman stick/bass guru Al Slavik (Alphaville, Adrian Belew).
