On November 25, 2006, Chicago's punk Godfather, Jim Skafish, entered Chicago's National Public Radio station's performance studios. There, he was interviewed by Steve Edwards on the show Eight-Forty-Eight. Skafish discussed his musical training, his twelve years of Catholic school, the origins of the Chicago punk scene, and his first ever holiday jazz album, "Tiding's Of Comfort And Joy -- A Jazz Piano Trio Christmas." In addition, Skafish performed live piano versions of three of the album's tracks.

The interview first aired on Wednesday, November 29, 2006. This video compilation contains many never-before-seen images, and it first aired on December 30, 2011.
