DESCRIPTION:
I live in Jamaica Plain, MA. Like many artists, writers, musicians there's a topography, a 'world' we inhabit that is part real, part imagined. I am one of those real-life-as-muse vampires. JP is a fierce location and endless source for song ideas. With "Love My Street", from the brand new CD - "WHEN WE WERE KIDS" (Rick Berlin w/ THE NICKEL & DIME BAND) - this is especially true. I shot most of it on a lo-fi Canon vid cam driving around in my car and on my iPhone from my car idling in park or racing about. The last still shots are of the JP Music Festival. (Watch it all the way through to see the band backstage at the Lizard Lounge making singing fools of ourselves)
