Lonesome Snake Blues - Video

DESCRIPTION:
From the vault 1974...I have had some requests from long time "fans" for something from my earlier blues days. This is an acoustic blues and as bare as I can get with just vocal and acoustic guitar. It is a song reminiscent of my time in Chicago in the '70's when I was also recording for blues legend Willie Dixon. This song was not recorded with him but this is the simple style he liked with me. The song itself was written for Lisa, one of the all-time "loves of my life" and quite an enigma unto herself. Typical of our relationship was her saying to me, "But I only like those other guys. I love you. It's you I always come home to." To quote Rodney Dangerfield, "I don't get no respect." At any rate it was a fun song to write and play and it shows that bare bluesy side of me that helped to form most of my music thru the years. It is spiritual in the sense that those experiences and women like Lisa led me to Krsna consciousness so we'll look at it in that light. I hope you enjoy it...Hare Krsna!!!
