DESCRIPTION:
A visual realization for "A Visit to Newport Hospital" by EGG from their 1971 album "The Polite Force." Dave Stewart: keyboards; Mont Campbell: bass, vocals & composition; Clive Brooks, drums. This song has been a personal favourite of mine since it was released, and recounts the band's experience of living & performing on the Isle of Wight in 1968 under the name of Uriel (also featuring Steve Hillage on guitar) while playing a residency at the Ryde Castle Hotel. Some of the sights, moods, and people that were a part of that magical period are presented here in tribute to a timeless classic that tells the story of innocence, exploration, and discovery amidst a summer's musical adventure.
