PUBLISHED:  Jan 09, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
Jiggin' around Cork - The Jolly Corkonion/Humours of Drinagh/Coolea
Music: Traditional
Sitting around the table at the warm, welcoming house of Brian Miller and Norah Rendell, we found between us a set of Cork-titled jigs. The first one, from Chief O'Neill's book Music of Ireland is The Jolly Corkonion. Chief O'Neill acquired it off John Carey from Limerick. Brian got the Humours of Drinagh from Conal Ó Grada while Coolea was made famous by Aidan Coffey & the late Séamus Creagh.
