TOURING with Jimmy Crowley!.



On April 7 of 2007, two Cork legends teamed up in Kansas City, Missouri, and started a whirlwind tour of the Midwest and Southern USA. Jimmy Crowley and

Máirtín de Cógáin played 11 concerts in 7 states and travelled 3,093 miles in just 14 days!



In September of 2007, the magic happened again as Jimmy and Máirtín 'Scrambled South' once more on another whirlwind tour!



Then, for a THIRD TIME in less than 12 months, these 2 incredible talents

teamed up yet again for a SPRING 2008 TOUR of the Midwest culminating as

headliners at the 2008 Southern Illinios Irish Festival in

Carbondale, Illinois, which is sponsored by Bryan Kelso Crow, the

host of America's popular Celtic Connections Radio Show



For their second (FALL) tour of 2008 and their FOURTH official tour together, these two legends of Cork brought their magic to the WEST COAST of the United States.



A CD was in the works and by now this amazing collaboration between two of Cork's finest performers had a name.



Captain Mackey's Goatskin and String Band



The first CD to emerge from this historic collaboration was based

on the theme of "Irish Soldiering". The CD contains a "must-have"

collection of the songs and stories of Irishmen fighting for various

causes all over the world, including the American Civil War.
