DESCRIPTION:
"Knocking At The Door" is a staple of any Julia Haltigan and The Hooligans gig, and is usually situated towards the end of their set. This performance at Brooklyn's Glasslands Gallery on January 9, 2010, features a fiery solo from trumpeter Joe Ancowitz followed by an equally artful pedal steel guitar solo from Gerald Menke. Changing up the pace from verse to chorus with his stylish segues is drummer Steve Williams, and rounding up the rest of the Hooligans is Bennett Huxley Miller on the upright bass, and mandolinist Emmet Haltigan, the man who literally puts the "Dad" into the phrase "Cool Daddio."
