DESCRIPTION:
Julia Haltigan and The Hooligans serve up a cartoonish bondage tune called "No Chains Can Hold Him" at the Glasslands in Brooklyn, New York on January 9, 2010. Lyrically, I'm reminded of an old Bugs Bunny episode where Bugs proves he is quite the escape artist, despite the best efforts of the other cartoon character to subdue or control him. Back Row: drummer Steve Williams, bassist Bennett Huxley Miller, and guitarist Gerald Menke. Front Row: Emmet Haltigan on harmonica, Joe Ancowitz on background vocals, and Julia on guitar and lead vocals. Notable here are Gerald's guitar lines woven into the bridge. Unfortunately, the zoom-in darkness issue of the Kodak Zi8 manifested again, this time when I tried for a close-up of Emmet during his solo.
