In 2013, The Microscopic Septet was preparing to make a new CD, Manhattan Moonrise for Cuneiform Records. Andy Biskin filmed some of their rehearsal process in Michiko Studios, New York City, on May 1, 2013. The band is: Phillip Johnston, soprano saxophone, Don Davis, alto saxophone, Mike Hashim, tenor saxophone, Bob DeBellis, baritone saxophone (subbing for regular member Dave Sewelson), Joel Forrester: piano, Dave Hofstra, bass, Richard Dworkin: drums.
