Claire is a native New Yorker, playing bari sax all over the world in a variety of settings. She won the Jazz Journalist Association's +++"BARITONE PLAYER OF THE YEAR" in '05+++ and+++"RISING STAR ON BARITONE"+++ in the DOWNBEAT CRITIC'S POLL for the last 6 yrs.Her CDs, "Rah! Rah!"(a love song to Rahsaan Roland Kirk, "Heaven Help Us All" and "Scaribari" are available at her website, www.clairedalymusic.com, and her first CD as leader, "Swing Low" is in the+++WILLIAM JEFFERSON CLINTON PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY+++ as a CD significant to him while he was President.

She has worked with Joel Forrester since 1990. Their "People Like Us" band released 4 CDs on the Koch Jazz Label. She released 2 CDs as leader on Koch, "Swing Low" and "Movin' On". Recent gigs include Portugal with Joe Fonda's "Bottom's Out" band and Switzerland w/ "2 Sisters, Inc.", headlining at the ++Litchfield Jazz Festival, ++The Kingston Jazz Festival, and many others.
