What's so special about my copy of "Dusty Rag"? - Video
PUBLISHED:  Apr 06, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
May Aufderheide was one of the most prolific of the women in ragtime. This rag was one of her most popular, and was later published as a song.

But why am I showing you just this print? What makes this so different from the other originals in my collection? Here's why! At the 1995 RagFest in Sedalia, Missouri, this print was signed by a whole bunch of the performers! Seeing as this is a rather rare item, I thought I'd share this with the ragtime world.

And if any of the performers who signed this see this video and would like a scanned copy of this for memory's sake, let me know and I'll be happy to share!

--Addition--

Since the posting of this video, many of the signatures in the music have been deciphered. Here's everyone's signatures that have been pointed out:
-Virginia Tichenor
-Yvonne McDonald
-Marty Eggers
-Colm O'Brien (signed twice)
-Jan Hamilton Douglas
-Dick Kroeckel
-Bob Milne
-Glenn Jenks
-Dan Grinstead
-Ian Whitcomb
-Regina (no last name, believed to be Ian Whitcomb's wife)
-Jeff Barnhart
-Tracy Doyle
-Jeff Williams
-Sue Keller
-Bob Long
-Dick Zimmerman (signed twice)
-Bob Ault
-Ann Fennessy
-Rich Berry
-Mike Schwimmer
-Morten Gunnar Larsen
-Pete Devine
-P.J. Schmidt
-Peter Lundberg (who helped in the deciphering of these signatures)
-Terry Waldo
-Mary Jo Amhber (unsure of last name..)
-Steven Spracklen

Ron O'Dell pointed out that Dick Kroeckel's signature is labled "1996", even though there's the year "1995" on the bottom of the second page. He suspects that this print was present at both the '95 and '96 festivals, hence some performers having signed twice.

I'd also like to thank all the ragtimers who helped with deciphering these signatures. Your help is greatly appreciated!
