DESCRIPTION:
The summer of 2013 was fading, and the Upstate Concert Hall rang in the Fall season with a five-dollar slugfest featuring a slew of Clifton Park's tightest and heaviest metalcore bands.
Headlining Annihilation Fest were 10-year veterans Gunther Weezul, fresh from releasing their third and most unforgiving record, Join Us. The band features current Skinless bassist Joe Keyser, Section 8 frontman Jann Kasey Dorr, guitarist Michael Gregoire, and ex-Wasteform drummer Kevin Carley.
Watch as the show's main attraction, Gunther Weezul, lay waste to the stage of the former Northern Lights, a stage that has been shared by bands like Type O Negative on their last ever American tour, Leeway, Merauder, Obituary, Vision of Disorder, Wu-Tang Clan, and many more. The band were firing on all cylinders and the venue was dark as night to match their depressive, pulsating, Black Sabbath-esque rhythms.
Check out their new album Join Us, it's one of 2013's best, in addition to being a sludge, rock, hardcore crossover masterpiece, and an instant underground classic.
