This work by Bach, which has the catalogue number BWV 541, was probably written during his time at Weimar - possibly in 1712. It is heard here played by Francis Jackson on the organ of York Minster, in an edition of Sir John Betjeman’s BBC radio series “Britain’s Cathedrals and their Music”, first broadcast on 14 January 1966.
