Travis has spent time learning from Djalu' Gurruwiwi in NE Arnhemland. His time there helped educate him about what makes traditional Yidaki sound great. He incorporates some of these concepts into his own unique crafting style. He is an excellent didge player and because of this he knows what it takes to bring out the best quality of sound when he crafts his didges! He is constantly testing out new designs and learning new techniques. Striving for a totally eco-friendly instrument Travis uses shellac (which is a tough natural sealant) inside and out to coat his didgeridoos. This didge features a hand sculpted permanent wood mouthpiece - no beeswax required, ready to play out of the box.
