Wise Blood is WOJCIK's first full-length record. (We released our EP for free last fall). For those of you who heard the EP, this record is a completely different animal. Unlike the EP, which was recorded in five days, w/ all live tracking and few overdubs, for this record we are using a much more layered (and therefore more time-and-money-consuming!) approach; it is being produced by myself & the amazing Danielle DePalma of Eucalyptus Productions. The record and short film are based on a concept I've been working on for the better part of a year. I spent most of the summer recording field samples and stitching them together, as well as making a short film (all shot myself, on my iPhone). Geoff and I have been recording at Seaside Lounge for the past few months.

Now it's time to put it out into the world--which is where we need your help!

Any amount you are able and willing to give would be greatly appreciated, so we can make this the best it can possibly be. Our main expense (aside from studio time) is going to be pressing vinyl. Vinyl sounds, feels and looks beautiful, and since we recorded to tape, it seems like a no-brainer to press analog as well. $3,000 would cover a good portion of the costs of pressing vinyl and studio time. If, by some miracle there's any money left over, I would love to use it to promote the record (publicist, etc.) and the film (maybe enter the film into a film fest or two), to book a TOUR and to print more music and art!
