DJ SPRINGA first got into the Hip-Hop game at the tender age of 12 when he was introduced to his friend's father who ran a radio station. Through the radio station he got involved with a crew called '4 The Hard Way' and at the age of 13 was live on the airwaves!The crew then went on to play all around the Midlands at various clubs and radio stations building valuable experience in the DJ worldAfter a good run of DJ'ing as a crew '4 The Hard Way' decided to go seperate ways and by the time DJ SPRINGA was 16 he was starting out now as a solo DJ with a residency at a top Wolverhampton venue. It wasn't long before DJ SPRINGA began to get a reputation of a hard-working DJ that musically pleased any crowd he played in front of, and his hard work and presence in clubland and on the radio didn't go unnoticed though…



It was 2000; the start of a new millennium when DJ SPRINGA got a call from Tim Westwood saying that he had heard him do a brilliant live remix blend in a club before asking him to be his official warm-up DJ for 2001 DJ SPRINGA rocked a number of clubs including a one-off MASTER P concert and shows with ONYX and TALIB KWELI From there DJ SPRINGA continued to go solo and became well known as the regions number one Hip-Hop DJ. In the Midlands, his radio shows on Midlands Underground 107 & Frontline Radio and Smooth FM are considered to the best thing on the airwaves with appearances from many local & international rappers and singers. In 2004 Wolftown Recordings rapper and Vicious Circle member 10SHOTT asked his long-time friend DJ SPRINGA to host his debut solo CD 'The Ghetto Brick Road'. This got DJ SPRINGA national and international recognition as well as being instantly tagged with one of the UK's biggest underground releases



In 2005 DJ SPRINGA decided that the only way for him to further his career in the music industry was to set himself a place in the world of mixtape DJ's and get noticed through national radio. A year later DJ SPRINGA hooked up with G Money from BBC 1Xtra and got involved in his Monday night show 'The Review Room' where springa would give his take on new singles and albums and also review clubs and big events such as the Uk Takeover which is a big uk hip hop event that takes place every year in nottingham.

He also worked on his debut mixtape 'Ghetto Blendz & Freestylez – Volume 1', a fully ram-packed mix which showcases DJ SPRINGA's skills on the decks and features US & UK exclusive remixes, exclusive blends and exclusive freestyles from his infamous radio show, all delivered tightly in the mix. This mixtape is a dual release with 'R'n'B & Hip Hop – Volume 1', a mixtape that reflects DJ SPRINGA's club style, and love for the ladies as well as being something that is a testament to his fans. Both mixes are hosted by 'The voice of the Midlands Hip-Hop airwaves'… DJ SPRINGA.



In the summer of 2006 DJ SPRINGA was approached by Wolftown Recordings CEO's LATE & TRICKSTA and then signed to the label as a support DJ & official tour DJ for 10SHOTT, as well as being signed as a mixtape DJ and artist in his own right. This marriage of 'top local record label' and 'top local DJ' means that we can expect his superb official debut Wolftown release in 2008 hosted by his uncle BENJIMAN ZEPANIAH. This release entitled 'Street Poetry' will feature some of the biggest rappers in the UK scene, as well as exclusive tracks from the host BENJIMAN ZEPANIAH, WOLFTOWN and many more. It's 2007 and DJ SPRINGA is now signed to Wolftown Recordings so you know you can expect some very big things! After hosting 10SHOTT's classic 'Ghetto Brick Road' mixtape DJ Springa has been in talks with Wolftown with some months and now we can confirm that DJ Springa has been signed to the infamous Wolftown artist roster. He currently has his new mixtapes 'Ghetto Blendz & Freestylez – Volume 1' and 'R'n'B & Hip-Hop – Volume 1' out now on road, as well as having plenty more to come.



His first release for Wolftown Recordings will be a mixtape of UK Hip-Hop hosted by One Little Indian Recording artist and infamous poet 'Benjamin Zephaniah'. DJ Springa is currently looking for exclusive tracks for the mix and drops etc. If you are an artist making Hip-Hop then you should be servicing this man as he also does shows on various radio stations in the Midlands.
